Stripe is similar to PayPal, but better, and is our preferred credit card payment processor

Which cards and currencies does Stripe accept?
- Stripe accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express – both credit cards and debit cards
- Stripe supports Google Pay and Apple Pay
- Stripe supports 135+ global currencies so guests can pay in their local currency
- If you use a New Zealand bank account number you will always receive payments in NZ Dollar
How much does it cost?
- There are no set up, monthly or hidden fee’s
- For each transaction Stripe charges 2.9% +30c (cheaper than PayPal)
- If guests live overseas there is a 2% currency conversion cost
When will payments arrive in my bank account?
- Your first payment will take 7–10 days. Usually the first transaction takes a little longer, as Stripe needs to establish your account
- Each additional payment will be transferred over 4 working days (Monday payments will arrive on Friday)
- Standard bank timings apply, most will deposit payments as soon as they are received from Stripe
Why is Stripe a better option than Paypal?
- PayPal charges additional fees for American Express payments – Stripe doesn’t
- PayPal charges additional fees for international payments on top of currency conversion fees – Stripe doesn’t
- PayPal charges additional fees for card authorisation – Stripe doesn’t
- PayPal charges additional fees for micropayments (less than $10) – Stripe doesn’t
- Paypal does not accept Apple Pay – Stripe does
- PayPal does not offer automatic PCI compliance security – Stripe does
- PayPal does not offer 24/7 phone and chat support – Stripe does
